Description

Visitors can climb aboard an Everglades airboat ride in Weston, FL, for an exciting adventure just outside Fort Lauderdale. Each tour is led by a highly trained and experienced captain who guides guests on a thrilling ride across the water. Along the way, travelers hear fascinating facts about the unique ecosystem while enjoying sweeping views of the Everglades.

Wildlife sightings are part of the journey, with opportunities to spot native species while gliding over the glassy surface of the wetlands. Guests can take in the untamed beauty of the Florida Everglades and appreciate nature at its finest on this Fort Lauderdale airboat tour.

Tours begin after 9:00 a.m. daily. Once checked in, tours depart every 30 minutes or less. Guests planning a 5:00 p.m. tour should arrive between 3:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to allow enough time to explore the exhibit areas before boarding the airboat.

Please Note:

Children are allowed on board the airboats; accompanied by an adult.
Children ages 6 and under are required to wear a life jacket for safety.
Tour is suitable for children of all ages.
The park is open daily except for Thanksgiving and Christmas, or pending inclement weather.

When are tours available?

Boats for the Everglades Tour leave every 20 minutes starting at 9:30am and stopping at 3:30pm.

What do we see on the boat ride?

While animal sightings are never guaranteed to protect the habitats and safety of the wild animals, guests may see alligators, birds, fish, and turtles while learning about the Everglades.

How many people can fit on a boat at one time?

We fit approximately 15 to 25 people per boat. We do have boats that fit 20+ people for private tours or adventures. Airboatss will be loaded to every other row to promote distancing.

Are there any age restrictions for the Everglades Tour?

No. Children of all ages are welcome on the boat tour. Pleased be advised that the airboats create great noise and while ear protection is provided to all tour guests, some children find the noise quite discomforting. All children under the age of 6 must wear lifejackets while on the boat tour. If you wish your child over the age of 6 to wear a life jacket, that can be arranged as well. Children under the age of 6 are free of charge.

What health restrictions are in place for the tour?

Pregnant women are allowed to go on the tour, if they choose to. The boat rides are smooth and do not have unexpected dips or bumps. Boats have limited accessibility for individuals with mobility issues. If individuals are able to have a family member or friend lift you into the boat, or comfortable taking a step into and out of the boat, they will be able to participate in the boat ride.
